We pride ourselves on our work helping international drivers who are currently residents or domiciled in Oregon. International drivers often come to us with years of experience driving in other countries and simply need coaching to help them better adapt to driving in the United States. Our assessment process can identify areas for them to practice with their friends and family locally.

Custom lessons are an excellent option for international drivers. Whether you already know how to drive and are simply trying to get your Oregon license or if you have never driven a day before in your life, NW Drivers Ed can help. We offer calm, supportive, and comprehensive instruction. Our driving instructors are patient and experienced with international students, including working through language barriers.
Our custom lessons are designed to cover all of the same components as a basic driving course but are tailored to each individual student. We start with an initial assessment to determine your abilities in order to develop a lesson plan to fit your specific needs. During the assessment, you will be given simple directions and our driving instructors will observe your existing habits to see what if anything could be improved.
- Use a custom lesson to learn precision steering, parallel parking, or another skill that you need to develop.
- Use a custom lesson for additional behind-the-wheel practice time.
Custom lessons and assessments are available to new and experienced drivers. Once you have purchased the package or a single session, call, text, or email us to schedule the date and time. We prefer that you text or email us to schedule your lessons as we may have limited time between lessons to return phone calls.
