Drive Test Terms and Conditions

We now offer the OREGON DMV DRIVE TEST.

NW Drivers Ed is constantly working to serve the needs of our community.  As a 3rd Party Drive Testing Business, we now offer the Oregon DMV Drive Test, which may be required to obtain your Class C Drivers License. By booking your Drive Test with us we are typically able to offer appointments sooner than the DMV.  Drive Tests are conducted using our cars, so you don’t need to try to arrange to have one on test day. Our examiners have been trained by ODOT and are also certified driving instructors.

Please note:
While we are authorized to administer the DMV drive test to eligible members of the general public, we do not have access to DMV databases. Therefore, we are not able to confirm for you your eligibility to test. Before scheduling your test it is your responsibility to ensure you are eligible to sit for a driving test through a 3rd Party Testing Business. NW Drivers Ed is not responsible if you are denied your license after successfully completing a Drive Test due to some existing DMV restriction or requirement.

By scheduling an appointment or paying for the service same day, you are agreeing to our TERMS & CONDITIONS. Please take time to review our TERMS & CONDITIONS / FAQs below:

We require you to arrive 10 minutes early to your Drive Test appointment, prepared and with the necessary documentation, corrective lenses if required, and close toed shoes. If you are late, or otherwise unprepared, it will be treated as if you did not appear for your appointment. The No Show Policy will apply and no refund will be issued.

We may have same day appointments. You must call ahead to confirm.

During your drive test only you, the examiner, and on occasion, an authorized manager or ODOT representative may be allowed in the vehicle. No interpreters, family, friends, or animals are permitted. If you require the presence of an animal or an interpreter we are unable to provide the testing service to you. We recommend contacting the DMV to discuss your options. If you arrive for an appointment and are unable to test due to this condition or any others no refund will be issued.

PLEASE NOTE: The Oregon DMV is in no way involved in scheduling, canceling or rescheduling your drive test with us. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 541-248-1962. We also accept emails at:

Upon successfully passing your Drive Test our Examiner will issue you a sealed envelope which will contain your test results. The test results are valid for only 30 days, so do not delay in taking it to the DMV or you will be required to take a Drive Test again. Do not open or otherwise tamper with the envelope or it will not be accepted by the DMV.

At the DMV, you may be required to provide additional proof of address or other documentation if needed by the DMV. Once you have met the DMV’s requirements, they will charge you a fee for your license and take your picture. They will issue a temporary paper license while the official hard copy is prepared and mailed to you at a later date.

If you are unsuccessful during your Drive Test, our examiners will provide you feedback as to what you should work on to meet the state standards. Once the waiting requirements have been met, you can retake the Drive Test. Waiting requirements vary depending on age and the number of previous attempts. You are not required to retest at the same location where you took your first test. You can take the test any place authorized to perform DMV Drive Testing.
